About this artwork

Rennes keeps one of Brittany's great old towns: hundreds of half-timbered houses from the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries along cobbled lanes around the cathedral of Saint-Pierre. The great fire of 1720 destroyed much of the city, which was rebuilt in stone to the north, while the surviving timbered streets and the Parlement de Bretagne palace preserve the older capital of Brittany.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
