Curator narration for this scene.
Salers stands at nine hundred and fifty metres in the Cantal mountains, a small town built almost wholly of dark volcanic stone. Around the Place Tyssandier-d'Escous and along its lanes stand Renaissance houses with turrets, carved doorways and mullioned windows, raised when Salers was the seat of a royal bailliage of the high mountains. The town gives its name to the mahogany Salers cattle of the high pastures and to the farmhouse cheese made from their milk.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
